Who can take part in "Skills Building for the Future"
training?
The training is open to all staff, volunteers and committee members etc
involved in museums, community-run heritage centres and local heritage
groups in the Highlands and Islands.
What expenses will be covered?
All reasonable costs incurred by participants will be reimbursed, including
public transport, car mileage, ferry journeys and, where necessary, air
fares, meals and overnight stays.
How do I claim my expenses?
Expenses claim forms will be issued at each course. Just complete the
form and return it to us with your receipts and you will be reimbursed
by cheque, normally within 2-4 weeks.
Can I attend a course in any area?
Most courses will be offered at a range of locations across the Highlands
and Islands. We ask that you attend the course nearest to you whenever possible. However,
if the course you want to attend is only being run in one location, we
will cover your expenses for attending that event wherever you are based.
All bookings are subject to availability and will be taken on a first-come,
first-served basis.
If I can't make a course, will it be repeated?
Popular courses are likely to be repeated, so let us know if you are interested
in any specific courses and we'll keep you posted!
The training I want isn't in the programme – what
should I do?
Just let us know what you want, and we will try to arrange it for you!
